On September 14, 2009, Charles Riess, Director of RSM McGladrey's Technology Business Solutions, spoke at the UJC Financial and Technical Professionals Institute (FTPI) in Scottsdale, AZ. This annual conference attracts over 100 Chief Financial Officers, Chief Operating Officers, and Chief Information Officers from the 156 Jewish Federations of North America. Charles presented on evaluating and selecting a new fundraising system for the federations, titled Donor Management Taskforce.
The Donor Management System Project is an initiative for Federations to share a hosted platform that provides an integrated donor management system, marketing tool-set and donor self-service Web capabilities by which donors can access their accounts, see pledges and balances, make payments, and conduct other tasks. It will be coordinated with UJCWeb, the Federation system’s popular content management system.
UJC/The Jewish Federations of North America represents and serves 157 Jewish Federations and 400 independent Network Jewish communities across North America. The Federation movement, collectively among the top 10 charities on the continent, protects and enhances the well-being of Jews worldwide through the values of tikkun olam (repairing the world), tzedakah (charity and social justice) and Torah (Jewish learning).
